Does Labour listen? Not in Eltham

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 8th Sep 2004

Labour councillors are failing to listen to the people of Eltham.

Only one out of six Labour councillors attended the recent Time to Listen meeting in Middle Park.

"Labour created the Time to Listen meetings in order to give local people a chance to be heard by their councillors," said Lib Dem Cllr Mark Pattenden (Eltham South). "However it's a bit difficult to listen when you don't even turn up!"
