Train delays haven't improved under Labour says Chris Le Breton

Liberal Democrats today published figures that show how delays for commuters and travellers using the railways in Greenwich have more than doubled under Labour, with almost one quarter of all South Eastern train services now arriving late.

Astonishingly the figures released by the Liberal Democrats reveal that rail passengers in Greenwich have effectively lost 100 years of their lives on delayed trains since Labour came to office.

Commenting on the figures, Chris Le Breton, Lib Dem candidate for Greenwich and Woolwich, said:

"To the long-suffering rail passengers of Greenwich these figures will come as no surprise. In fact, every major network in the country has declined under Labour.

"The reality is that Labour can not make the railways punctual, they are literally wasting passengers time. 100 years is too long for even the most patient commuter to wait.

"The Government's inability to maintain a safe, reliable and affordable rail network is costing the nation dear."
