Labour "Out of Touch and Out of Date"

Councillor Ian Gerrard (Middle Park and Sutcliffe) has criticised Labour for failing to keep local people informed about the issues that affect them.

"You only need to look at the Eltham Labour Party website to see how little interest they have in local residents" commented Cllr. Gerrard. "Their site hasn't been updated since May of last year."

"To make matters worse they are still referring to the £200 pre-General Election Council Tax bribe they offered in 2005. It is insulting because the £200 payment has been taken away this year - leaving local pensioners facing huge Council Tax rises."

"This just shows how out of date and out of touch Labour is with what is going on in our part of the borough. The Liberal Democrats promise to keep in touch with local people all year round - through Focus and this website - and not just at election time."

It seems that Labour in Eltham are only concerned with getting Mr. Efford elected and not with representing and informing local people.
