Real action demanded over Horn Park bus route

11.08.16pm UTC (GMT +0000) Sun 23rd Jul 2006

Councillor Paul Webbewood (Middle Park & Sutcliffe) has demanded greater urgency in improving bus services for the Horn Park area in Lee.

"Residents would like a bus route along Alnwick Road to provide easier access to either Eltham or Lewisham" said Paul. "However Transport for London and Greenwich Council, while both expressing support in principle, have been blaming each other for the lack of action.

"It is very disappointing that Greenwich Council's transport policy seems to be almost exclusively focused on the north of the borough along the riverside, while Horn Park and other places in the south suffer from poor public transport links.

"Greenwich Council and Transport for London should stop stalling and get on with sorting out better transport links for Horn Park and Lee."
