Lib Dems launch Green Tax Switch in Greenwich5.25.07pm UTC (GMT +0000) Sun 5th Nov 2006
Greenwich campaigner Suzanne Miller helped launch the Liberal Democrats' Green Tax Switch campaign last weekend. "The Lib Dems will radically change the way Britain pays tax," said Suzanne Miller. "We want to encourage people to switch to greener living - so we will tax income less and instead tax bad things like pollution." "As a result of the changes we propose, the average family would be around £1,000 better off and it would help tackle the growing threat of climate change too!" said Suzanne. The campaign kicked off in Greenwich town centre last weekend and will spread out across the rest of the borough over the next few weeks.
