Plans to open a new - 24 hour, 7 days a week - community hospital in Eltham town centre have been welcomed by local Eltham South Lib Dem campaigner Mark Pattenden.

It will be based on the site in Passey Place, just off Eltham High Street.

Mark Pattenden commented, "The proposed community hospital will be a welcome boost for the local area. But it must not be allowed to cover up further cuts to local NHS services elsewhere."
